The context

Data centers are being built in Texas at a pace that is reshaping the state's power and water planning. Every one of them is a mechanical engineering problem before it is a computing one: heat rejection at enormous scale, cooling water systems, and the generation capacity to keep it running.

The power side is increasingly nuclear. Developers are pairing small modular reactors directly with compute load. That puts the same firm in a position to engineer both the reactor's balance of plant and the facility's thermal infrastructure.
