Combined-cycle and cogeneration,already delivered.

Balance-of-plant, steam, and thermal design and engineering for power plants across four continents.

The context

Power generation is a proven capability for us, not a new one. We have engineered combined-cycle and cogeneration plants across Texas, Washington, Portugal, and Brazil, from balance-of-plant piping through structural steel.

The physics of a power plant is the physics we do every day: high-temperature and high-pressure steam and thermal piping, rotating-equipment loads, and the structures that carry them. The service is demanding and unforgiving, which is exactly the kind of work our engineers have spent their careers on.

Capabilities

What we design and engineer for Power Generation.

  • 01 Balance-of-plant and steam piping design and stress analysis
  • 02 Cooling water and thermal management systems
  • 03 Structural engineering for turbine halls, racks, and equipment
  • 04 Mechanical equipment layout and nozzle-load evaluation
  • 05 Materials and corrosion engineering for high-temperature service
  • 06 PE-sealed deliverables

Why our background maps to this.

We have delivered combined-cycle and cogeneration plants for AES, Tractebel, Dynegy, Petrogal, and others across four continents. Chehalis in Washington, Wolfhollow and Eastex in Texas, the Oporto refinery cogeneration plant in Portugal, and the Ute Norte Fluminense combined cycle in Brazil. This is present-tense capability with hardware to point to.
